This is the band's annual concert in the spacious concert hall at Tollendale Village retirement centre. The program will include a variety of classic, contemporary and popular arrangements. 

Parking is limited to Visitor Only spots, with additional parking at Gables Park located off Tollendal Mill @ Hurst Dr.  A freewill donation will be collected at the door.

Last Night of the Proms

This is the band's first conjunction with the wonderful King Edward Choir and its Artistic Director Oliver Balaburski.  

The inspiration for this program is the artistic directors' version of this beloved British Albert Hall tradition with a bit of Canadian influence. Famous selections will include "Pomp and Circumstance No. 1," "Jerusalem," Vaughn Williams's "Folk Song Suite," and Elgar's "Nimrod" as well as Muir's "The Maple Leaf Forever".  This will be a stupendous occasion shared with 100 musicians.

Prices: $20 Adult, $10 Student, Under 5 FREE

150 Years - Let's Celebrate!

The band will celebrate its 150th anniversary with a unique tribute to its past history and its place in Barrie and Simcoe County as one of Canada's oldest concert bands! 

Former conductors will share the baton with our current Music Director, Peter Voisey. Mark Tetrault, of international renown, will delight us with his tuba. Rick Pauzé will conduct the premiere of his composition specially commissioned for this occasion. 
  
An exciting program will consist of selections that showcase the band's evolution, and give tribute to its past and current members. Be on hand to witness the power of community concert band!

The Barrie Concert Band hosts community band members from all over Ontario. CBA weekends offer the opportunity to meet and play with talented musicians from many bands, led by several experienced conductors. It's a wonderful sight-reading workout filled with learning, camaraderie, and shared meals.

The Barrie Concert Band is excited to hold the Sunday afternoon concert outdoors at Meridian Place, the impressively redesigned public square located in the heart of the City of Barrie. 



BCB's Christmas Festival

The band will end its 150th anniversary on a special Christmas note that will shine a joyful holiday spirit live and bright. Stay tuned for more information about this concert to be provided in 2019.
